Brew Pub Pizza: Lotzza Motzza Supreme Review

Today, Kevin and I are trying the Brew Pub Lotzza Motzza Supreme Pizza. This pizza includes sausage, mushrooms, pepperoni, green and red peppers, and onions. It's a 1 lb 10.82 oz (or 76.3 g) pizza and costs $6.99 at Meijer. Unlike other pizzas we've tried, you can actually see the ingredients and cheese, rather than having them buried under too much cheese.

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Remove the pizza from its packaging, discarding the plastic wrap and cardboard.
  3. Bake the pizza for 20-25 minutes. We opted for 24 minutes to ensure the peppers and other ingredients were thoroughly cooked.

Post-Bake Impressions:

After baking for 24 minutes, the pizza looked good. However, we noticed it dripped in the oven, so we recommend using oven guards to catch any drips.

Nutritional Information:

  • One-fifth of the pizza (152 g) contains 340 calories.
  • The entire pizza has 1,700 calories.
  • Half the pizza has 850 calories.

Tasting Notes:

The crust is notably softer and almost wet, which we found unappealing. This sogginess seems to be due to the high water content of the onions and peppers. Mushrooms can also contribute to this moisture if they're not the dried variety.

The flavor is earthy due to the mushrooms, with the peppers and sausage being more prominent. We didn't notice much onion or pepperoni flavor. The pizza's overall texture is quite wet, mainly due to the sauce and vegetables, making it difficult to eat without making a mess.

Conclusion:

Despite enjoying the flavor, especially the peppers, the pizza's excessive wetness is a significant drawback. It makes for a messy eating experience, requiring lots of napkins. While the sausage pizza from this brand remains our favorite, we wouldn’t recommend the Supreme due to its cumbersome messiness.

Final Thoughts:

If you've tried Brew Pub Lotzza Motzza pizzas, let us know your favorite. We’ve only seen sausage, pepperoni, cheese, and supreme varieties at our Meijer.
