Bumbleberry Farms Product Review: Avocado Blossom Honey, Peach Vanilla Spread, and Lemon Vanilla Honey Cream Spread

Today, Kevin and I are excited to try three items from Bumbleberry Farms: Avocado Blossom Honey, Peach Vanilla Spread, and Lemon Vanilla Honey Cream Spread. These were kindly sent to us by Michael—thank you very much, Michael!

We’ve previously reviewed Bumbleberry Farms products, and I immediately recognized the jar shape and label when these arrived. In our past review, we tried six flavors: Pumpkin Caramel, Maple Cinnamon, Dark Chocolate, Caramel Pear Cardamom, and more, which we found at Hobby Lobby for $6.99 each. At the time, we thought the price was high, but given today’s prices, it seems more reasonable.

Bumbleberry Farms is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You can explore their offerings at www.bumbleberryfarms.com. The Avocado Blossom Honey has earthy, smooth notes of molasses and is great for baking, pancakes, or oatmeal. It may crystallize over time, so placing the jar in warm water will liquefy it. One tablespoon is 64 calories with 15 servings per container.

Tasting the Avocado Blossom Honey

The Avocado Blossom Honey has a dark, molasses-like flavor. While it does taste like honey, the predominant molasses flavor might not appeal to everyone. If you enjoy molasses, this honey is worth trying. It’s thick and would be great on pancakes or oatmeal. However, if you’re not a molasses fan, this might not be for you.

Peach Vanilla Spread

Next, we tried the Peach Vanilla Spread, which contains whole milk, pure cane sugar, butter, honey, natural peach flavor, pure vanilla, and sea salt. It’s 90 calories per tablespoon with 11 servings per container. The spread is recommended for pancakes, French toast, goat cheese, roasted chicken or pork, and nut butter sandwiches.

The Peach Vanilla Spread is thick and gritty, which some might dislike. However, the flavor is sweet with noticeable peach and vanilla notes. Despite the gritty texture, it’s versatile and could be easily added to yogurt or used as a spread.

Lemon Vanilla Honey Cream Spread

The Lemon Vanilla Honey Cream Spread also has a gritty texture, though less pronounced than the Peach Vanilla. It contains whole milk, pure cane sugar, butter, honey, pure lemon oil, pure vanilla, and sea salt. Like the Peach Vanilla, it’s 90 calories per tablespoon.

The lemon flavor is strong and sweet, reminiscent of a good lemon cookie. The texture is less noticeable when spread on toast, making it a more enjoyable experience.

Final Thoughts

Between the three, Kevin and I both prefer the Lemon Vanilla Honey Cream Spread for its flavor. While the gritty texture is not ideal, it’s not a dealbreaker. The Peach Vanilla Spread is also good, but the Avocado Blossom Honey’s strong molasses flavor isn’t for us. These spreads would make great additions to gift baskets or as special treats.

For those interested, you can check Hobby Lobby’s food section for these spreads. They also make great gift items. We’ll share a picture at the end of this review—thanks for watching!
