Club Crackers: Parmesan Garlic Minis, Multigrain, Reduced Fat & Original Minis Review

Today, Kevin and I are sampling a variety of Club Crackers by Kellogg's. We have the original Minis, reduced fat, multigrain, and a new flavor—parmesan garlic Minis. Let's dive in!

Original Minis

The original Minis, priced at $3.77 for an 11 oz box at Walmart, are also available for $2.50 at Kroger. These crackers are described as "light, flaky, buttery goodness," making them perfect for snacking anytime. Each serving contains 34 crackers (30g) with 140 calories. They are small and reminiscent of the red sticks in cheese and cracker packs from childhood. Compared to Ritz, they are less salty but have a similar buttery flavor.

Reduced Fat

The reduced fat Club Crackers offer a slightly healthier option, with 2g of fat per serving compared to the original's 3g. A serving size of 5 crackers (16g) contains 70 calories. These crackers have a saltier taste and more butteriness than the Minis. They remind us of saltines but are less dry and more suitable for snacking with spreads like chicken salad.

Multigrain

The multigrain variant features a different appearance, being darker due to the inclusion of whole wheat flour, defatted wheat germ, and oat bran. Each serving of 4 crackers (14g) has 60 calories. Despite a slightly lower sodium content, they taste saltier and have a richer flavor due to the multigrain mix. These crackers lack the dominant buttery taste but offer a wholesome, grainy flavor.

Parmesan Garlic Minis

The parmesan garlic Minis, a new addition, were $3.77 at Walmart. Each serving of 32 crackers (30g) contains 140 calories. These crackers pack a strong garlic flavor with a hint of parmesan, making them a standout. They would pair well with cheese spreads like Laughing Cow. Despite their small size, their robust flavor makes them a perfect snack on their own.

Final Thoughts

Our favorites from the tasting were the parmesan garlic Minis and the multigrain Club Crackers. The parmesan garlic flavor was particularly impressive, with a strong, savory taste that could rival any snack. The multigrain crackers offered a surprisingly flavorful and healthy alternative to the original. Overall, each variety has its unique appeal, making them suitable for different snacking occasions.
