Dairy Queen Blizzards Peanut Butter Cookie Dough, Reese’s Fluffernutter, Peach Cobbler, Animal Cookie

Today, Kevin and I will be reviewing four new Dairy Queen Blizzards. We tried the Picnic Peach Cobbler, Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Party, Royal Reese’s Fluffer Nutter, and Frosted Animal Cookie Blizzards. We brought these home to review them in better lighting since it’s getting dark. We live only five minutes from Dairy Queen, but the Blizzards are already starting to melt.

We couldn’t try the Ultimate Cookie Blizzard as they were out of the required cookies. Now, let’s dive into our reviews of each Blizzard.

Picnic Peach Cobbler Blizzard

The Picnic Peach Cobbler features peach topping and buttery cobbler pieces. The cobbler pieces are quite large, about the size of a sugar cube or crouton, and have a chewy texture. While the peach flavor is pleasant and natural, the cobbler pieces are a bit off-putting due to their size and texture. Smaller pieces would have been better.

Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Party Blizzard

This Blizzard includes cookie dough, peanut butter topping, and rainbow confetti blended with Dairy Queen’s soft serve. The cookie dough pieces are smaller than the cobbler pieces, which improves the texture. The peanut butter flavor is perfectly balanced—not overwhelming but clearly present. The added crunch from the confetti is a nice touch. This one is a favorite for its sweet and rich flavor.

Royal Reese’s Fluffer Nutter Blizzard

This Blizzard contains Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, peanut butter topping, and a marshmallow center. While the marshmallow core is visible, its flavor is not very pronounced. The Reese’s flavor is strong and distinct, combining well with the soft serve. Although the marshmallow doesn’t add much, the combination of chocolate and peanut butter is delightful.

Frosted Animal Cookie Blizzard

The Frosted Animal Cookie Blizzard has pieces of frosted animal cookies and pink confetti mixed into the soft serve. The cookies remain crunchy, but their flavor makes the Blizzard taste somewhat bland compared to the others. The dye from the confetti and frosting is noticeable. It’s sweet but not as rich, making it less enjoyable than the other options.

Pricing

The Blizzards cost $4.99 each, except for the Royal Reese’s Fluffer Nutter, which is $5.79. However, considering the minimal difference the marshmallow core makes, you might be better off saving the extra 80 cents and getting a regular Reese’s Cup Blizzard.

Final Thoughts

  • Favorite Overall: Royal Reese’s Fluffer Nutter for its strong Reese’s flavor.
  • Best Texture and Flavor: Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Party for its balanced sweetness and crunchy texture.
  • Least Favorite: Frosted Animal Cookie for its comparatively bland taste and noticeable dye flavor.

We’d love to hear your thoughts if you’ve tried any of these Blizzards, especially the Ultimate Cookie Blizzard.
