Hi, it's Alaska Granny here with an important update for fellow preppers. Fabuloso cleaner is being recalled due to potential bacterial contamination. This popular multi-purpose cleaner, which is manufactured in the United States by Colgate-Palmolive, poses a risk of exposure to harmful bacteria.
Recall Details
Fabuloso multi-purpose cleaners have been found to contain environmental organisms found in soil and water. These bacteria can be extremely detrimental to individuals with weakened immune systems, those who use external medical devices, or people with underlying health conditions. The bacteria can enter the body through inhalation, contact with the eyes, or breaks in the skin.
Affected Products
If you have any of the following Fabuloso scents in your prepper pantry, check them immediately:
- Lavender
- Refreshing Lemon
- Passion of Fruits
- Spring Fresh
- Ocean
These products were sold between December 2022 and January 2023 at various retailers, including Amazon, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Home Depot, Sam's Club, and Walmart. Prices range from $1 to $11.
What to Do
Do not use these recalled cleaners. Inspect your stockpile and remove any Fabuloso products you may have. Return them to the store where you purchased them for a refund.
Safety Concerns
It's alarming to know that one of the top poisons for children is Fabuloso because it can be mistaken for a drink like Gatorade. If you have young children, ensure that any cleaning products are stored in a locked, high-up cabinet to prevent accidental poisoning.
