Guy Fieri's Flavortown Sauces Review: Donkey Sauce, Honey Mustard, Top Secret, Jalapeno & Chipotle

Today, Kevin and I are trying Guy Fieri's Flavor Town sauces. We're sampling the famous Donkey Sauce, Honey Mustard Sauce, Secret Sauce, Chipotle Sauce, and Jalapeno Sauce. Each bottle was $3.98 at Walmart. He also has a line of barbecue sauces that we'll review later, but we wanted to start with these.

Each bottle has a seal that needs to be broken before use. We'll start with the Donkey Sauce since we've never tried any of Guy Fieri's sauces before. Guy has a chicken restaurant called Chicken Guy at Disney Springs in Florida, but we haven't been there yet.

Donkey Sauce

The Donkey Sauce is described as a creamy, garlicky aioli. The label states, "If you don't dig this flavor bomb, you're a jackass." It's the highest calorie sauce of the bunch, with 140 calories per two tablespoons. It's made by Litehouse, known for their salad dressings.

Taste Test: This aioli has a rich, creamy texture with a mild garlic flavor that isn't overpowering. It spreads easily and would be great on burgers, fries, and sandwiches.

Honey Mustard Sauce

Next is the Honey Mustard Sauce, described as a tangy and creamy blend of mustard and honey. It's slightly lower in calories at 110 per two tablespoons.

Taste Test: This honey mustard has a kick from the Dijon mustard and a mild sweetness. It's not overly sweet, making it a perfect dip for chicken or a spread for sandwiches.

Secret Sauce

The Secret Sauce is a creamy aioli with chili powder, mustard, and garlic, locked up in "Fort Flavor Town." It has 110 calories per two tablespoons.

Taste Test: This sauce has a smoky flavor that resembles a barbecue potato chip. While not spicy, it has a subtle hint of chili powder and is excellent for burgers and fries.

Poppin' Jalapeno Sauce

The Poppin' Jalapeno Sauce combines spicy jalapenos with creamy aioli and garlic. It's the lowest calorie option at 90 calories per two tablespoons.

Taste Test: This sauce has a delightful jalapeno flavor without being overly spicy. It’s creamy and would work well with chicken or as a dip.

Kicking Chipotle Sauce

Finally, we have the Kicking Chipotle Sauce, which promises a smoky chipotle flavor with a hint of chili and spices. It has 110 calories per two tablespoons.

Taste Test: This sauce is sweet initially but develops a pleasant heat as you eat it. It's great for tacos, quesadillas, and shrimp, providing a smoky, spicy kick.

Conclusion

Our favorite sauce was the Donkey Sauce for its creamy garlic flavor. Kevin’s second favorite was the Honey Mustard, while I preferred the Poppin' Jalapeno. Each sauce offers something unique, and all are worth trying. Look for them at Walmart, and be sure to check both the sauce aisle and the barbecue sauce section.
