The texture is reminiscent of a waxy coating found on a Little Debbie Zebra Cake. Each stick is 60 calories, which seems surprising given its minimal flavor.
Dark Chocolate Oreo Waffle Sticks
- Appearance & Smell: The dark chocolate version also has a cocoa scent.
- Taste & Texture: This version offers a bit more flavor, though it leans towards a bitter cocoa taste, similar to unsweetened baking cocoa. The overall flavor profile is not sweet, which may disappoint those expecting the typical Oreo sweetness.
Comparison to Other Wafer Cookies
We've reviewed many wafer cookies, and our favorite remains the Vortman brand. The wafer texture of the Oreo Waffle Sticks is similar to Vortman, but the lack of flavorful filling makes the wafer stand out, unfortunately not in a good way.
