Quality Candy Shoppes: A Sweet Experience with Milk Chocolate Covered Vanilla Whipped Cream Eggs

Unboxing and First Impressions

I’m letting Kevin open the box while I read the description. According to the packaging:

"Exquisite, silky, rich chocolates reserved for those who expect nothing less than perfection. Our traditional milk chocolate products are made the old-fashioned way, in small batches and hand-packed by dedicated employees who love our products."

Austin and Amanda generously sent us two boxes. The Quality Candy Shops were founded in 1916 by Polish immigrants Joseph and Lahi Helman in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They opened a chocolate and ice cream shop on Mitchell Street, one of Milwaukee's most popular shopping areas. Today, the same high-quality confections are made with premium pure Swiss-style chocolate and top-tier nuts from around the world. These traditional recipes have won state and national awards, maintaining a legacy of family integrity and premium quality.

Tasting the Eggs

One piece contains 220 calories and the first ingredient listed is milk chocolate. The eggs have a marshmallow cream-like texture—light, fluffy, and reminiscent of marshmallow cream, though not as sweet.

Comparisons and Texture

Compared to Russell Stover's popular marshmallow eggs, these whipped cream eggs have a much lighter and airier texture. The chocolate shell is thin yet firm, providing a nice contrast to the fluffy interior. It's not overly hard, making for an enjoyable bite.

Enjoying the Experience

Despite their large size, these eggs are a treat. When eating, you might get a bit of the creamy filling on your lips due to its stickiness. The chocolate quality is excellent, complementing the whipped cream filling perfectly.

Where to Buy

You can order these delightful treats online at BuddySquirrel.com. Currently, these eggs are on sale, likely because they are marketed for Easter. The website offers a variety of other items as well, though we haven't tried them ourselves.

Conclusion

Thank you, Austin and Amanda, for sending us these delicious chocolates. We enjoyed them and hope you do too. If you've tried anything from Quality Candy Shops, let us know in the comments.
