Today, Kevin and I are reviewing some Trader Joe's bars. While these bars may have been on the market for a while, this is our first time trying them. We have the Joe's O's Peanut Butter Cereal Bars and the Peanut Butter Chewy Coated and Drizzled Granola Bars. Both types are priced at $2.99 per box at Trader Joe's. The Joe's O's box contains five bars, and the granola bars box contains six.
You can find these bars in the cereal section at Trader Joe's. The Joe's O's Peanut Butter Cereal Bars are made with a mix of peanuts, peanut butter, and Joe's O's Cereal, each bar drizzled and dipped with a rich peanut-flavored coating. They're a sweet and savory treat, perfect for any time of day, and are made in Canada. Each bar has 120 calories and features a loose, non-compressed texture with actual peanuts and cereal that resembles Cheerios. The peanut butter flavor is prominent, sweet, and slightly salty. Although the bars are easy to eat quickly, they are a good low-calorie snack option.
Next, we tried the Peanut Butter Chewy Coated and Drizzled Granola Bars, which are made with peanuts, rolled oats, rice crisps, and peanut butter. Each bar has 170 calories and is coated with a creamy peanut butter-flavored coating on the top and bottom. These bars are chewier and more substantial than the cereal bars, reminiscent of no-bake peanut butter cookies. While they are more difficult to chew, they offer a lasting, satisfying snack.
Overall, the peanut butter flavor in both bars is delightful and well-executed. We prefer the sweeter taste of the cereal bars, but the granola bars are more filling. Let us know if you try them and what you think! Thanks for watching.
