Seiko Samurai vs. Turtle vs. Monster: In-Depth Comparison and Review

Welcome to Wrong Time Watch. My name is Kevin, and today I'm comparing three Seiko watches: the Seiko Samurai SRPC93, the Seiko Turtle SRPC91, and the Seiko Monster SRP-E27. This will be my last video with the Samurai, as I am selling it. 

All three watches feature the Seiko 4R series movements. The Samurai and the Turtle have the 4R36 movement, which includes both day and date functions, while the Monster uses the 4R35, which includes the date only.

Let's quickly go over the dimensions and specifications:

- Lug-to-Lug: 48.2mm

- Diameter: 44mm

- Thickness: 13mm

- Lug Width: 22mm

- Crown Diameter: 7mm

- Bezel: 43.7mm

- Fixed Center Links Length: 53mm

- Lug-to-Lug: 47.5mm

- Diameter: 44mm

- Thickness: 13mm

- Lug Width: 22mm

- Crown Diameter: 7mm

- Lug-to-Lug: 49mm

- Fixed Center Links Length: 53.5mm

- Diameter: 42.4mm (bezel diameter)

- Thickness: 14mm

- Lug Width: 20mm (tapers to 23mm and back to 20mm with bracelet)

The Monster has a distinctive design with a larger lug-to-lug measurement and a smaller bezel diameter, giving it a unique, seamless look. Its thicker case and varying lug width add to its robust appearance.

However, you can typically find these watches for about $200 less in the grey market. All three models feature Hardlex crystals, with the Monster also having a magnifier, which is a love-it-or-hate-it feature.

I'll be putting the Monster on a rubber strap or maybe a NATO strap soon. The Turtle and Samurai both have crown guards, whereas the Monster does not.

All three watches have excellent loom, typical of Seiko. The Monster's large hour hand and indices provide superior brightness, followed by the Samurai and Turtle.
