The basket is decent-sized, but fitting 5 lbs of fries seems challenging. We struggled to get them all in, managing about 4.5 lbs.

We set a timer for 25 to 30 minutes, planning to check every 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, it was clear that shaking the fries was nearly impossible due to their weight. Using tongs was the only option, but it was tearing some fries apart.

At the 25-minute mark, the fries were starting to look crispy, but they were clumping together. After about 32 minutes, they were done, though some were not as crispy as desired. Cooking this volume of fries led to inconsistent results, with some fries still being somewhat raw.

Stirring and turning the wings was a constant battle. By the 42-minute mark, some wings were crispy while others were still raw. After 75 minutes, we called it quits. The top layer was crispy, but the bottom wings were still undercooked. Cooking 9 lbs of wings in one go proved impractical.

Conclusion

In summary, the Ninja Air Fryer Pro XL couldn't handle the claims made on the box. It struggled to cook 5 lbs of fries and 9 lbs of wings evenly. For a price of $169 USD (about $210 CAD), it might be reasonable for smaller batches, but it's not suitable for the large quantities advertised.
