To provide an honest review, I purchased LLCs from two services: ZenBusiness and BizFilings (rebranded as Bizy). I ran them through a detailed comparison, which I’ll share here.
Ordering and Initial Setup I ordered both LLCs on March 19, 2024, through Colorado due to its low state fee of $50. Both ZenBusiness and Bizy offer a $0 plus state fee package, with additional upsell options. I purchased the cheapest packages with no upsells: Bizy at 9:28 AM and ZenBusiness at 10:06 AM.
To test their support, I intentionally misnamed the LLCs: "Serenity Yoga Studio" for Bizy (wanted "Serenity Now Yoga Studio") and "Manhand Massage Therapy" for ZenBusiness (wanted "Man Hands Massage Therapy"). This allowed me to evaluate their responsiveness and ability to make corrections.
Support Response Time
- ZenBusiness: On March 19 at 1:59 PM, I requested a name change. I received an automated response on March 21, citing high volumes. The name was updated, but I never received a confirmation email. Total time: 2 days for an automated response.
- Bizy: On March 19 at 1:32 PM, I requested a name change. I received an automated response within 2 minutes and a detailed reply from support in 7 minutes with instructions. Total time: 7 minutes for a complete response.
Bizy clearly outperformed ZenBusiness in support responsiveness.
Processing Time
- ZenBusiness: My LLC was completed on March 26 at 9:55 AM, taking 6 days, 23 hours, and 45 minutes.
- Bizy: My LLC was completed on March 20, taking 1 day, 4 hours, and 43 minutes. Bizy was 5 days, 19 hours, and 6 minutes faster.
Upsells and Email Marketing
- ZenBusiness: In the first 23 days, I received six upsell emails.
- Bizy: I received zero upsell emails in the same period, which was surprisingly low-key and customer-friendly.
Promotions and Charitable Contributions Both services start at free plus state fee, with no special promotions. ZenBusiness is nearly $500 more expensive due to higher recurring fees, particularly for their registered agent service ($199 annually compared to Bizy's $119 after the first year).
Conclusion Bizy is the clear winner, excelling in support response time, processing speed, and minimal upsell emails.
