It has more flavor, though it’s still not quite like real chocolate, resembling more of a Tootsie Roll or other artificial chocolate products.
Raspberry Flavor
The raspberry BN cookies have a shiny gel-like filling. The cookie itself is darker and the filling has a subtle raspberry flavor. The texture is similar to a thumbprint cookie with raspberry filling, but not as flavorful. The raspberry taste is faint, and overall, these cookies are quite sticky and difficult to twist apart.
Strawberry Flavor
Lastly, the strawberry BN cookies also have a shiny, gel-like filling. The taste is reminiscent of a fruit roll-up, but not as strong. The strawberry flavor is very mild, and the cookie itself doesn’t stand out much. Like the raspberry variety, these cookies would likely appeal more to children than adults.
Overall Impression
Overall, these BN cookies are a mixed bag. The chocolate flavor stands out as the most palatable, but still falls short of genuine chocolate taste.
