Today, Kevin and I will be reviewing three Chobani Creations yogurts: Orange Cream Pop, Apple Pie à la Mode, and Mocha Tiramisu. These were purchased at Meijer for $1.45 each. Previously, we reviewed Bananas Foster, Cherry Cheesecake, and Caramel Sundae flavors. You can check out that review if you're interested in those flavors.
Orange Cream Pop
First up is the Orange Cream Pop flavor. This Greek yogurt comes in a 5.3 oz (150 g) container with 170 calories. Made with natural ingredients, it contains billions of probiotics, six live and active cultures, and is protein-rich. The yogurt is produced in New Berlin, New York.
Upon opening, you’ll notice a honey-like amber color at the bottom. Stirring the yogurt mixes the flavors thoroughly. The initial taste is a pleasant vanilla, followed by a burst of orange. The creaminess of the yogurt pairs beautifully with the citrus, making it reminiscent of a classic orange creamsicle. The texture is smooth and thick, providing a satisfying mouthfeel. The natural orange flavor stands out without being too overpowering, making it a delightful and refreshing choice.
Apple Pie à la Mode
Next, we tried the Apple Pie à la Mode flavor, also with 170 calories per container. The yogurt base has a subtle vanilla flavor, complemented by spices typically found in apple pie, such as cinnamon and nutmeg. Stirring reveals chunks of real apple, adding authenticity and texture to the yogurt.
The taste is well-balanced, with the spices enhancing the apple's natural sweetness. The yogurt’s creaminess mimics the richness of ice cream, making it feel like you’re enjoying an actual slice of apple pie with ice cream on top. This flavor combination is comforting and perfect for those who enjoy classic dessert flavors. Compared to other apple-flavored yogurts, the Chobani version stands out for its rich texture and generous apple pieces.
Mocha Tiramisu
Lastly, we sampled the Mocha Tiramisu flavor, which also contains 170 calories. The yogurt has a noticeable coffee aroma right upon opening. Before stirring, you can taste the strong coffee flavor. Once mixed, the yogurt turns a chocolatey brown color, indicating the presence of rich mocha.
The flavor is intense, with a deep coffee taste that is almost bitter, complemented by a hint of chocolate. The yogurt is very creamy, but the coffee’s robustness might be overwhelming for some. This flavor has a slight drying effect on the palate, which is unusual for yogurt. While it captures the essence of a traditional tiramisu dessert, it might be too strong for those who prefer milder flavors. The combination of dark chocolate and coffee provides a rich and indulgent experience, though it’s best suited for coffee lovers.

In summary, our favorites differed: I loved the Orange Cream Pop for its refreshing citrus flavor, while Kevin preferred the Apple Pie à la Mode for its authentic pie-like taste. The Mocha Tiramisu, while unique, was too strong for our liking. These yogurts are a fun way to try new flavors, but personal preferences and calorie considerations will play a significant role in your choice.
