Hi, it's Alaska Granny here! Grilling and smoking season is just around the corner, and soon you'll be tossing beautiful fish, chicken, pork, and steaks onto the grill. Alongside your delicious mains, you might want an easy side dish, like baked beans. Recently, I tried Kingsford Brown Sugar Molasses Baked Beans in a rich, sweet sauce. These beans are free of MSG, preservatives, and gluten, and Kingsford is a trusted name in barbecuing and grilling. Naturally, I was curious to see how their baked beans measured up.
My strategy for trying new foods is simple: buy one, take it home, and see if I like it. If it's good, I'll go back for more. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my first can of Kingsford baked beans, finding the flavor quite interesting. Wanting to share my experience, I bought another can to see if it matched the first.
Upon opening the second can, I noticed a recurring issue: the beans were scarce, buried beneath a thick layer of sauce. I had to pour off quite a bit of sauce before spotting any beans. The beans were present, but the sauce-to-bean ratio seemed off. It felt like there was too much sauce and not enough beans, which made me feel like I wasn't getting my money's worth.
Despite this, the beans are delicious, even straight from the can. The sauce is flavorful, but I still believe there should be more beans to balance it out. I wanted to share my honest experience with you regarding Kingsford Brown Sugar Molasses Baked Beans. While they taste great, the bean-to-sauce ratio could use some improvement.
