Natura’s Nectar: Pear, Peach, Apple, Pineapple & Mango Review

Today, Kevin and I are excited to try some unique fruit drinks we found at Walmart. We’re not entirely sure of the brand name pronunciation—whether it’s "Naturas," "Natur," or something else entirely—but what matters most is the taste.

Our Selection

We picked up four flavors: Pear, Apple, Pineapple, and Peach-Mango. These drinks, priced at 66 cents each, were displayed prominently in a large Walmart in Lexington. As a product of Honduras, we couldn't resist the chance to try something new.

Pear Nectar

- Can Size: 11.16 oz (330 ml)
- Juice Content: 22%
- Calories: 220

The pear nectar surprised us with its light yet sweet flavor. Unlike most juices with little to no real juice content, this one boasts 22% juice. Though high in calories, it tastes incredibly fresh and natural, much like eating a ripe pear.

Apple Juice

- Calories: 220

This apple juice stands out with its robust flavor and thicker texture, contrasting with the thin, watery apple juices commonly found in stores. With 53 grams of sugar and 55 grams of carbohydrates, it’s not a daily indulgence but a delightful treat.

Pineapple Juice

- Juice Content: 37%
- Calories: 200

The pineapple juice was a hit, with a flavor reminiscent of fresh Dole pineapple juice straight from Hawaii. Its higher juice content of 37% made it taste exceptionally pure and refreshing.

Peach-Mango Juice

- Juice Content: 25%
- Calories: 215

This juice was an unexpected favorite, tasting like blended canned peaches. Ideal for smoothies or mixed drinks, it offers a rich, sweet flavor that’s hard to beat.

Mango Juice

- Juice Content: 30%
- Calories: 215

Mango juice was a bit polarizing. While it had a thick, pretty appearance, the taste and smell reminded us of tomatoes, which might not be for everyone. However, those who love mango might find it spot on.

Conclusion

Overall, these drinks are incredibly flavorful, albeit high in sugar and calories. They’re perfect for occasional indulgence or as an ingredient in smoothies and other recipes. Our top picks were the pineapple and apple juices for their rich and authentic taste.

If you’ve tried these drinks or have seen them at your local Walmart, let us know your thoughts! Do you drink them on their own or mix them with other beverages? We’d love to hear from you.
