Pepsi Lime & Pepsi Peach Review

Today, Kevin and I are excited to review two limited edition Pepsi flavors: Peach Pepsi and Lime Pepsi. These unique flavors offer a refreshing twist on the classic soda, and we're eager to share our thoughts with you.

Peach Pepsi

Availability and Price: We purchased a 20 oz bottle of Peach Pepsi for $2.28 at Walmart. It was prominently displayed at the front of the store.

Calories and Ingredients: The bottle contains 250 calories and, interestingly, zero juice. The lack of actual peach juice doesn’t detract from the strong peach aroma that greets you when you open the bottle.

Flavor Profile: Peach Pepsi has a deep, dark color typical of Pepsi. The peach flavor is surprisingly natural and dominates the taste, overshadowing the usual Pepsi flavor. It's not overly sweet or artificial, making it a pleasant surprise. While I'm not usually a fan of Pepsi, the strong peach flavor makes this one enjoyable.

Lime Pepsi

Availability and Price: Unlike the Peach Pepsi, we couldn't find Lime Pepsi in a single bottle. Instead, we bought a 12-pack for $4.98, equating to about 42 cents per can.

Calories and Ingredients: Each 12 oz can contains 150 calories and, like the Peach Pepsi, zero juice.

Flavor Profile: The lime flavor in this Pepsi is subtle but effective, complementing the Pepsi rather than overpowering it. It’s akin to adding a fresh squeeze of lime to a glass of Pepsi. The result is a balanced, slightly sweet lime taste, reminiscent of lime Jell-O. This subtlety makes it a drink you can enjoy more regularly without tiring of the flavor.

Comparison and Personal Preferences

Peach vs. Lime: Both flavors are well-executed, but they cater to different preferences. If you enjoy a dominant, fruity flavor, Peach Pepsi might be your go-to. Its strong peach taste is refreshing and natural. On the other hand, if you prefer a more subtle enhancement to your soda, Lime Pepsi is a better choice. Its delicate lime flavor enhances the Pepsi without overshadowing it.

Preference for Diet Versions: A significant drawback for both flavors is the lack of diet versions. Given the high calorie content, those who are mindful of their calorie intake might shy away from these options. We hope Pepsi considers introducing zero-sugar versions in the future.

Final Verdict: For me, the Lime Pepsi slightly edges out the Peach Pepsi due to its balanced and refreshing flavor. Kevin, though initially unsure, found the Peach Pepsi to be a surprisingly delightful change from regular soda.

Conclusion

Both Peach Pepsi and Lime Pepsi offer exciting twists on the classic soda. Whether you prefer the bold, fruity taste of peach or the subtle, refreshing hint of lime, these limited edition flavors are worth trying. If you love experimenting with new soda flavors and don't mind the extra calories, you'll likely enjoy both.
