Sprinkles Mini Chocolates Review: Red Velvet and Salted Caramel

Today, Kevin and I are reviewing Sprinkles Mini Chocolates. We have two flavors: Red Velvet and Salted Caramel. These chocolates are priced at $5.99 per bag at Walmart and can be found in the candy aisle. In addition to these minis, Sprinkles also offers full-size candy bars. We've previously reviewed those large bars on our channel, covering all four varieties: Red Velvet, Salted Caramel, Milk Chocolate, and White Chocolate.

When I saw these mini versions, I knew people would want to see them. We decided to buy these to show you the size and taste comparison with the larger bars. The minis come in individually wrapped portions, which is convenient for portion control. Each bag contains 3.8 oz (108 g) of chocolates.

Red Velvet Mini Chocolates

The Red Velvet chocolates are filled with a cream cheese frosting flavored filling. Each serving consists of three discs, with four servings per bag. Each serving (27 g) has 140 calories. These chocolates are gluten-free and kosher, made in Canada.

The packaging is attractive, featuring a red color and the label "Red Velvet." The discs are small, about the size of a coin. The texture is creamy, and you can let them melt on your tongue to fully enjoy the flavor. The cream cheese filling is prominent, and while there's a slight hint of red dye, it’s not overpowering.

Salted Caramel Mini Chocolates

The Salted Caramel chocolates are made of milk chocolate with a salted caramel frosting flavored filling. Each serving, similar to the Red Velvet, is three discs (27 g) and contains 140 calories. The chocolates have a milk chocolate exterior and a creamy, non-sticky caramel center.

The amount of salt in these chocolates is just right, enhancing the caramel flavor without being too sweet. The caramel frosting has a different texture and taste compared to traditional caramel candies, making these unique.

Comparison and Personal Preference

Between the two, I prefer the Red Velvet due to its cream cheese flavor, while Kevin favors the Salted Caramel. Both flavors are enjoyable, and the mini size makes them perfect for a quick treat without the need to store leftover candy. Each disc is around 46 calories, making it a manageable indulgence.

If you enjoy these flavors, the mini chocolates are a great alternative to the full-size bars. They are convenient, delicious, and perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.
