Sweet’s Quality Candies: Mango Chili Bears & Lemonade Rings Review

Today, Kevin and I are excited to try some unique candies from a specialty sweets brand. We have two varieties to review: Lemonade Rings and Mango Chili Bears. Interestingly, Michael mailed us the Mango Chili Bears, and we’ve previously reviewed their Cinnamon Bears. It’s quite a coincidence that we had just purchased these candies ourselves!

We found these sweets at Cracker Barrel, which is the only place we've seen them in our area. Cracker Barrel tends to price items higher than other stores; for example, these candies were $3.99 for a small bag. If you're looking for common candy bars, you're better off buying them at a convenience store or gas station to save money. However, Cracker Barrel does offer unique items like bottled sodas that can be worth the extra cost.

The Lemonade Rings come in a 6 oz (170 g) bag and are naturally flavored. This candy company, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, is known for its gluten-free products. The bag contains six servings, with each serving (four pieces) having 100 calories.

First Impressions:

- The rings come in three colors: yellow, pink, and red.

- Despite the different colors, they all taste like lemonade.

- The texture is surprisingly soft and sticky, more like spice drops than traditional gummies.

- The flavor is a sweet lemon with a hint of berry, likely strawberry or raspberry, though this isn’t mentioned on the packaging.

Next, we have the Mango Chili Bears, which come in a 16 oz (454 g) bag. This bag contains 15 servings, with three pieces (30 g) per serving at 110 calories.

- The bears are large and have a slightly waxy feel.

- The initial taste is a sweet, melony mango flavor.

- After a few moments, a surprising chili heat hits the back of the throat, complementing the sweetness.

Both candies from this brand offer unique flavors and enjoyable textures. The Lemonade Rings are soft and easy to eat, with distinct flavors that the packaging doesn’t fully advertise. The Mango Chili Bears provide a delightful combination of sweet and spicy.
