The Lemon Blueberry Bundt from Nothing Bundt Cakes

Today, Kevin and I are trying the Lemon Blueberry Bundtlet from Nothing Bundt Cakes. This dessert is a generous size, perfect for sharing or indulging on your own.

Most people might eat straight from the container, but for our review, we placed it on a plate to give you a better view of its size and appearance. This Bundtlet fits nicely on a regular dessert plate. Cutting it in half, you can see the blueberries dispersed throughout the cake. It costs $5.50, which is consistent in our area, although prices may vary in different regions.

Product Details

The Lemon Blueberry Bundtlet is part of their limited-time offerings, available from April 15th through June 9th. While the company doesn’t provide nutritional information for their limited-time flavors, most Bundtlets are around 320 calories, which might be for half of the cake.

Taste and Texture

The cake is exceptionally moist and fluffy, bordering on slightly underdone. Some might find it a bit squishy, suggesting it could have used another minute in the oven. Despite this, the texture remains enjoyable.

The cream cheese frosting is the highlight, adding a delightful richness to the Bundtlet. The lemon flavor is prominent, but the blueberries are less noticeable. Even with visible blueberries, their taste is subtle. If you were blindfolded, you might not detect the blueberry flavor at all.

Final Thoughts

For those expecting a strong blueberry presence, this Bundtlet might be disappointing. Incorporating blueberries into the frosting could enhance the flavor. If you’re a fan of lemon, this Bundtlet delivers a refreshing taste, though it may not differ significantly from their regular lemon Bundtlet.

Considering we drove 45 minutes through heavy traffic to try this limited-time flavor, we don’t believe it’s worth a special trip. If you're already near a Nothing Bundt Cakes location, it’s worth a try. Otherwise, their regular lemon Bundtlet might be a better option for a stronger lemon flavor.
